BBC Countryfile

So I can now reveal … last week I spent two days with a lovely BBC Bristol crew and presenter Anita Rani, filming for the Countryfile Autumn special on 23rd October. I had such a lovely day at Sharpham Park Estate, the home of Roger Saul, founder of Mulberry and Kilver Court. And best of all…. loads of wonderful walnuts for me to use in our winter collection of beautiful, sustainable textile products!

Workshop & Walnuts

I’m busy getting the ColourField workshop in order, for a bit of an event next week … all will be revealed soon!

I plan to have an open day on Monday 31st October, which will be a chance for anyone to visit, have a cuppa and see what facilities and beautiful, naturally made products we have to offer.

’til then, there’s more walnuts to process!

Magical Indigo

A lovely film by Kindcraft that shows why Indigo is so special.

Come and expeience it for yourself on an Indigo taster evening workshop at ColourField’s new studio in the centre of Cardiff – a 2 hour session including all materials is just £25 – get in touch for dates or find 3 friends to join you and have it all to yourself!

Eco print and dye

Last night was a lovely introduction session for Green City Events at  Little Man Coffee in Cardiff. Thankfully it had cooled a bit, as we were boiling and steaming with city collected goodies, with great results!

New Indigo W/inc

My new W/inc is a deep blue black, made with natural indigo and local walnuts, a little Irish seaweed and seasalt from Wales. It’s the ink for   a landlocked mermaid to write her message-in-a-bottle.

Bigger and brighter!

ColourField are moving into a bigger, brighter workshop space. this means we will be able to offer classes, a small flat bed-print textile screen print table, as well as our full range of dyes and other textile treatments. These will be available to any other artists wishing to have a go for the first time, or carry out their own dye and print projects, in a safe, welcoming, assisted environment. A day hire (after an initial consultation and induction) will be £25. Get in touch to chat about what facilities you could be interested in using.
